Ifeanyi Mbah, a Nigerian man, and his two children were killed in a car accident in South Africa.
His wife, Nomabandla Mbah, 33, was the only survivor of the accident, which occurred on Monday night, March 22 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
According to reports, the family was driving along the N2 near Bluewater Bay when their car veered off the road and collided with a barrier.
Ifeanyi, 42, and their two sons, Uchenna, six, and Chinedu, one, were killed on the scene. Nomabandla was taken to a clinic in Motherwell for treatment of a knee injury. Captain Andre Beetge, a police spokesperson, confirmed the incident. It was not clear what had caused him to lose control and veer off the road.
“A white Volkswagen Polo was traveling along the N2 from Bluewater Bay to Gqeberha at around 8.40 p.m. when it left the road and collided with a barrier.” “During the process, the vehicle overturned and landed on its roof,” Beetge explained.
A culpable homicide case is being investigated.
