Prince Philip, the spouse of Queen Elizabeth, has kicked the bucket at 99 years old.
The Duke of Edinburgh, who was hitched to Queen Elizabeth for a very long time, was supposed to be the ruler’s stone during her 69-year rule.
He spent his last days at Windsor Castle with his significant other following a 28-night stay in clinic having been conceded in mid-February for a disease and a prior heart condition.
Her Majesty reported her better half’s demise at noontime today, April 9.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”
